WHO WE ARE

Misscoteque is a lesbian-run collective and event series for women, non-binary, and trans folk, founded in 2021. We aim to queer the club by creating genuinely radical spaces rooted in archival research into Bristol's lost lesbian spaces of the 70s & 80s. We have run club nights, exhibitions, and panel discussions; collaborated with theatre companies, circus groups, and authors; and for 3 consecutive years we took over the 'Sisterhood' stage at Glastonbury festival for a day & night.

The archive holds our collection of photos, ephemera and oral histories from the 5+ years we have been running events. It is also collaborative - anyone who attends our events can submit something.
